The trip to Brugge was a return visit for the 17-year old Larin. He trained at the club last season along with teammate Chris Nanco. After a few days training with the U17 and U19 teams, Larin was moved to the senior reserve team.
"Cyle was at the club last year, and they have been keeping tabs on him," said Sigma FC technical director Bobby Smyrniotis. "And they thought that one year later, during March Break would be a good time to assess his development."
According to Smyrniotis, Brugge officials felt Larin had developed further in his game and was very confident making good decisions and showing physical maturity during his most recent visit.
The training period culminated in Larin participating in a game with the reserve side against the Club Brugge first team, currently sitting in second place in the Belgian First Division.
"It was a great experience for him with where he is at in his development cycle," said Smyrniotis . "He did very well for himself."
