SIGMA FC would like to congratulate good friend and member of the SIGMA International ID Camp coaching team of 2009, Chris Ramsey on his appointment to Technical Coordinator at Tottenham Hotspurs Football Club. Up until this appointment Chris has served as Academy director U9-U16 and Director of Player Development at the London, England based club.

According to SIGMA Technical Director Bobby Smyrniotis the appointment will serve to further bridge the gap from the academy to the first team at Spurs."It is fantastic to see one of our good friends and colleagues from overseas making such an important move in his career. From what he tells us he will be responsible for further developing the young talents on the first team of the club and those on the brink of signing first team contracts. We look forward to hearing about his experiences and of course having him visit us once again in the future".

Chris Ramsey was one of 8 guest coaches to feature in the 5th Anniversary of the SIGMA International ID Camps (Formerly known as the SIGMA-AJAX Camps) along with Technical Directors and coaches from Club Bruges, AFC Ajax, Real Mallorca, Arsenal FC and the KNVB. His outlook on North American soccer is very positive having served as a coach at the pro level in the early part of last decade with the Charleston Battery of the USL where he was League Champion in 2003. SIGMA will continue to offer players of the region the opportunity to train with the some of the world's top educators and coaches as is evident with Chris Ramsey this summer with the 6th edition of the International ID Camp which is the longest running International ID Camp of such high calibre in Canada!

SIGMA would like to wish Chris all the success in his new role and looks forward to increasing the ties between the two organizations.
