Bobby Smyrniotis on Joseph:
Jamal is an excellent young man who has developed into a top defender in our area. He started with us way back in the beginning in 2007 and he has consistently developed his game from a technical and tactical aspect. As a defender he is a pleasure to watch as a dominant 1v1 player. His ability to play and comfort on the ball is what makes him such an exciting young man to train. His decision to attend Georgia GC is right one to reach his long term goals and will lead him to his next destination in the near future.

Congratulations to Jamal and the Joseph family for their dedication to the game over the years. Everyone at SIGMA is looking forward to your success!

In His Own Words:
"In the fall of 2014 I have decided to attend Georgia Gwinnet College. I heard a lot of great things about GGC not only from coach Bobby but also from multiple recruiting coaches from other universities. I found GGC to be a great fit for me because they have the perfect academic resources for me to strive as a student and also a great team and coaching staff to help me develop as a player on the field to reach the next level. GGC is a beautiful school with an environment similar to home, I will fit in well. I am very excited to be a Grizzly in the fall.

"I first started at Sigma back in 2007, a year after the 95 Sigma team was formed. Sigma FC is a great club that plays efficient and attractive soccer. I believe that if I didn't make the transfer over to Sigma from club soccer, I would not be the player that I am today. The coaching staff at Sigma taught me discipline, responsibility and the skills to be an exceptional young man off the field, as well as great player on the field. Thank you to the Sigma staff, players and parents for the love and support shown towards me. I will continue to carry the Sigma name on my back and make you all proud."

In Coach Steven DeCou's words:
"We are extremely excited that Jamal has chosen Georgia Gwinnett College and is coming to the Atlanta area to start on his academic and athletic journey. Jamal will bring a presence to our backline as we strive to win national championships. We look forward to working with Jamal and helping improve both on the field and off."
